AzpectCustomz: Custom Hardware Without Shortcuts

March 30, 2026

AzpectCustomz custom hardware modding showcase featuring themed PC builds

Some people get into PC modding through cases. Ben Sejd didn’t.

In early 2023, he started small—painting gaming mice. No big plan, no roadmap. Just curiosity and a willingness to take things apart and see how far customization could go. One project led to another, then another, until it stopped being just mice and started becoming… everything.

Keyboards. Controllers. Hardware people usually don’t touch.

That mindset ended up opening a door he didn’t expect.

The Moment
Things Changed

Not long after his work began circulating online, Ben was contacted by Caseking. They invited him to present a custom mini gaming PC at Gamescom 2023—Germany’s largest gaming event.

For a relatively new modder, that’s not a small step. His build was shown on stage, with his name attached to it. No alias. No hiding behind a brand. Just his work, in front of a massive audience.

That moment shifted things from experimenting to committing. From hobby to profession.

Modding Without Cutting Corners

What really defines AzpectCustomz isn’t a specific look or color palette. It’s the process.

Ben fully disassembles hardware most people wouldn’t dare to open. He redesigns it through custom paint and finishes, then puts it all back together—carefully. Functionality always comes first. If something compromises performance, thermals, or reliability, it doesn’t make it into the final build.

That discipline matters. Especially when the hardware isn’t meant to sit on a shelf. These systems are built to be used.

No Fixed Style

And That’s the Point

Ask Ben what his signature style is, and you won’t get a clean answer. That’s intentional.

Some projects pull from anime. Others from gaming culture, graffiti, or street art. Each build comes with its own constraints, ideas, and technical challenges. Repeating the same visual formula would be easier—but also less interesting.

What stays consistent is the intent: every build should tell a story and leave an impression, even if the theme changes completely from one project to the next.

Why Power Supply Choice Matters (Especially for Streaming)

Two of Ben’s most personal builds were made for his own setup: a gaming PC and a dedicated streaming PC. Both were powered by Seasonic PRIME TX-1600 units. These weren’t showcase systems. They were machines meant to run daily.

Streaming puts constant, uneven load on a system, especially when both gaming and encoding are involved. During a subathon, one of these PCs stayed online for 50 days straight. No shutdowns. No instability. No surprises. That kind of reliability sticks with you.

Looking Forward

Ben’s long-term goal isn’t just more custom commissions. He wants to create a limited-edition PC that people can actually buy—something that carries the feel of a one-off build, without losing the craftsmanship that defines his work.

It’s ambitious. But so was painting hardware most people were afraid to touch.
