In PC modding, it’s easy to drift toward extremes. More lighting. More effects. Bigger statements than the last build.
But in any serious PC modding PSU project, restraint can be just as powerful as spectacle.
George Roussis, the creator behind Quantum Rig Designs, never really chased excess. His work is quieter and more measured, built around balance rather than impact alone. Based in Greece, George has been refining his approach since 2017, focusing on systems that feel intentional, both visually and technically.
How It Started
There wasn’t a master plan behind George’s entry into PC modding. It started out of curiosity. After watching YouTube videos, he began experimenting with his own hardware, modifying an old Cooler Master Stacker case with limited experience and no real expectations. It was mostly trial, error, and learning as he went.
He also traces those early instincts back to when he was 18, assembling his first PC from whatever hardware he had access to at the time. Different moments, same approach: get hands-on and figure things out along the way.
By 2017–2018, modding became something more serious. Builds were no longer just experiments. Each system became a project, moving him closer to professional work while still leaving room to improvise.
A Style Built on Restraint

If George had to describe his style in simple terms, it would come down to minimalism. Straight lines. Clean bends. No excess for the sake of decoration.
PETG hard tubing is a constant in his builds, paired with materials like metal and glass to keep the structure clean and defined. The goal isn’t to remove detail, but to avoid anything that doesn’t serve a purpose. In that context, even the PC modding PSU selection follows the same logic — stability, balance, and visual integration matter just as much as raw output.
Anime and pop culture occasionally influence his designs, but always in moderation. These themes are used as accents, not centerpieces. The build stays readable, even when it carries a reference or character inspiration.
For George, modding goes beyond appearance. Self-expression, visual storytelling, performance, and how people react to a build all matter. A system should feel coherent, not just impressive.
Project:
Apex and the
Seasonic Connection

Among his projects, Project: Apex is the one that best reflects his mindset. It’s a build focused on clarity, precision, and long-term reliability.
At its core is a Seasonic FOCUS GX-1000 ATX 3.1 power supply. The choice wasn’t about specs alone. It came down to confidence in the component itself.
- Case : Komp Apex
- CPU: Intel Ultra Core 7 265k
- Mobo: AORUS Z890 Elite WiFi 7
- Ram: Thermaltake Germany ToughRam 64gb 6000mhz DDR5
- Nvme: Samsung 990 Pro 2TB
- Gpu: Palit Gaming Pro RTX 4080s
- Psu: Seasonic Focus GX ATX 3.0 1000w
- Fans: Seasonic MagFlow Argb
- Custom Cables : Cablemod
- Custom Loop : Alphacool
What stands out to George about Seasonic is straightforward: quiet operation, strong internal design, and material quality that holds up over time. For him, quality matters more than chasing peak numbers.

Creating
Without a
Script
George doesn’t work from a fixed roadmap. There’s no strict planning phase before a build begins. Most ideas come together during the process itself—thinking, adjusting, and building at the same time.
He often refers to this as the “grind.” That’s where the best decisions happen, usually somewhere in the middle of a build, not at the start. It keeps the work flexible and honest.
Looking ahead, his goals are simple. Build more systems. Reach a wider audience. Keep improving. Events like Computex feel like a natural extension of that journey—not a finish line, but another place to share the work.
